Event Description:
Join us at Aging Care Connections' Sports Ball Gala for a fun and casually elegant evening where attendees can connect over mutual sports alliances while supporting Aging Care Connections’ work to help older adults age well and remain living independently in their homes and community. You don't need to rent a tuxedo or buy an expensive dress to attend. Our attendees are encouraged to wear sports attire at this fun and laid-back evening. Our sports-themed gala begins with a cocktail reception where guests have a chance to mingle with sports celebrities, which include: Chicago Blackhawks legend, Denis Savard, Chicago White Sox legend, Bill Melton, and Tom Livingston, who served as the symbol of Illini Pride for the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign as Chief Illiniwek. At the cocktail reception guests have the opportunity to bid on various auction packages and experiences—geared to both sports fanatics and non-sports fanatics. The reception is followed by a dinner, a short Q&A session with sports celebrities conducted by mistress of ceremonies, Dionne Miller, ABC 7 Sports Anchor and Reporter, a program presentation about Aging Care Connections’ work, a raffle and paddle raise. The evening concludes with comedy entertainment.
