Event Description:
Pilgrim Pie Run for Rotary is combining this year with America's Turkey Trot, the nation's largest virtual run. The Pilgrim Pie Run has grown since 2001 to approach 3,000 participants by 2019. This beloved event typically takes place on Thanksgiving morning, starting and ending at Lyons Township High School North campus near the heart of downtown La Grange. The website for registration is pilgrimpierun.com. Registrants receive a hooded jacket, hat, medal, race bib, and the first 1,000 registrants receive a free Sara Lee pie coupon. Participants are asked to complete and log their run/walk as close to Thanksgiving Day as possible and then compare their results and upload photos with others online.
