Event Description:
Members are invited to join us as Pillars Community Health presents an exclusive Q&A on Zoom about the COVID-19 vaccine, featuring their chief medical officer Kisti Catalano, MD.
Dr. Catalano has been in frequent communication with the Illinois Department of Public Health and Cook County Department of Public Health throughout the pandemic. She and the staff have begun administering the vaccine to existing Pillars Community Health patients over age 65, and they are building capacity to administer the vaccine more widely in the coming weeks and months. We will also hear from Anna Padron Sikora, MSW, social worker and VP of Community Engagement, who will address vaccine education and questions about mental health as it relates to the pandemic.
Topics will include:
- Vaccine rollout in Cook County
- Protocols for the vaccine (including dosage)
- Anxiety around the vaccine/pandemic
- Face masks and flu shots after the vaccine
