Name: Cyptocurrency, the Blockchain and the Law: Can Lawyers Bring Clarity to the space.
Date: February 15, 2018
Time: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM CST
Event Description:

Is the survival of the legal profession dependent on our ability to understand and adapt to technology and specifically the Blockchain, or will the world, and more importantly our clients, stop and wait for us to catch up?

Over the last decade, the speed of technological advancement has been accelerating exponentially.  Then suddenly, with the interjection of cybercurrency and Blockchain, everything has changed.  Now we are going even faster.

This presentation is meant to enlighten you and create a platform for your growth as a lawyer in the present and in the future.  We will discuss cybercurrency, smart contracts, initial coin offerings, compliance, use cases, globalization, cyber protection and insurance, practice management software, portals, the cloud, artificial intelligence, innovation, interacting with and advising clients in the space, adapting to the many technological disruptions for clients, and whatever else you would like to discuss.

And of course, no presentation would be worth attending if there was not some Bitcoin talk.

Because lawyers are notoriously the last adopters of technology, we need to work together to ensure that the legal industry is prepared for the constantly changing world through the adaption of existing technology or even our own innovation?

Whether this is the first time that you are thinking about how technology, Blockchain and cybercurrency will affect your legal practice and your clients, or if it is your obsession, then this discussion is just the thing for you.
